Early Head Start

For three to five year olds

The Early Learning Center hosts infants and toddlers (children of CCAP eligible parents only) through our Early Head Start program.

Early Head Start Child Care Partnership is a collaborative among existing child cares and Early Head Start to provide high quality services in their center. Each family enrolled in Early Head Start will receive a lower ratio room with 8 children and 2 teachers at all times; a research-based curriculum; a family advocate who works with each family on goals for themselves and their children; help with insurance, medical and dental; developmental screenings, etc. The Early Head Start Family Advocate will follow up on appointments and goals with each family to make sure they are becoming self-reliant. The ages served in Early Head Start begin at 6 weeks and ends at 3 years old. The family will qualify based on income, disability, foster, and child care assistance. The program is designed for serving the most at-risk families as well as most children being on child care assistance. The items needed for application processing are: an application, proof of income, and proof of birth.
